Default EF9 SiR Seats -- NEED HELP! *NOW FOR SALE*

I'm trying to install these seats I purchased, and for some reason they don't bolt up properly.

If I can get some expertise on this i would appreciate it... I assume that the Tilt level for the driver and passanger should be on the outside, not the inside by the emergency brake. I'm also going to assume that the lumbar support is on the driver side (JDM that is.... so on the passanger side)

This is where it gets tricky... the parts are all off a 91 EF9 which as far as i thought, was pretty much identical to my 90 HB DX... I took the DX seats out... and surprise surprise, the rails on the EF9 seats are closer together than the DX. This stopped me for a second, but then realized that there was an additional hole on the runner at the front under the carpet. So the two bolts in the front line up and bolt in. The rear of the seat is a different story. One side is again, a relocated hole from the original possition to another (pulled out the carpet and blam, there it was) . So NOW, I have three bolts in, looking at the last one (the largest of the four bolts) it seems it's completely off.

Now this was the passanger side. After yelling a couple times, I decided to look at the driver side, which is an even bigger headache. Only the two front bolts line up.... The third bolt (the one that I got in the passanger side) doesn't come close, the slider is about 3 inches too short.

So my questions are as follows.....

a: Did Honda TRULY make two different types of shells/stamps for USDM 90-91 and JDM 90-91 civics? I don't understand why nothing lines up...

b: Does anyone know what i'm talking about? Is there a fix that doesn't involve tearing all my seats apart and frankensteining it all? Cause if so, i'll just sell it, and get some race buckets.

c: Anyone? No..... So who wants to buy two EF9 SiR seats in perfect condition?

Please help me! I love my new seats and I don't want to have to get rid of them!

I'll buy the rear seats is there anyway to just swap the rails from your dx seats it seems worth the hassel instead of spending more money buying some race seats that look nothing like your back seats. You could put in new holes to bolt them in and use some good hardware to bolt them down.

This might not hold true for the 90-91's, but my 89 DX had different seat rails then all the other 89 trim levels.

Maybe try swapping the rails? If not, maybe the complete buckets? Not sure if htis is possible because I've never seen SiR seats before.

I thought 90-91 was all the same. But you know the seats are backwards when putting them into a USDM car. I would either...

1. Attempt to swap out the passenger side rails onto the dirver side one and vice versa and see if that works.

2. Swap your old seat rails onto the new seats and see if that works.

Well, to answer all the questions.... The SiR seats aren't really any different from USDM Si seats, except the JDM driver side (USDM Passanger side) has the back support.

This might not hold true for the 90-91's, but my 89 DX had different seat rails then all the other 89 trim levels.
As for that, I think you might be right... Unfortunately. As far as botching both sets of seats, i'm just going to sell them... Really unfortunate, but rather than destroy them, i'd rather sell them in mint condition to someone who wants them more than me. Unless someone comes through with a really badass idea......

Why not just keep the rear?? I think that'd be bad ass, even if you can't get the front's in.

Just get a set of Si's, those are black/red/grey right? They'd match for the most part.

Well, I guess... I'm gonna check on some prices for some other seats, so we'll see.

Good idea though...
