yah you probably just got stuff wet down there, should go away when it all dries out, btw don't run ur engine if ur alternator is wet, u can cause it to short out. ur belts are probably wet, not a huge problem or concern, just watch out for ur electrical components when washing it down, or pull out ur battery and go to town with a hose, and wait until it dries then put it back in, ive done that quite a few times

My .02 would have to be its normal. I've heard a high pitch sound on many crx's. I also just so happen to have an 87 crx si that whistles. Just turn the music up a little bit and smile cause you know you love drivin it. At least I love drivin mine...

Try tightening the Alternator belt, I know it makes a squeeling sound if it is sort of loose.

yup, a loose belt can certainly cause that, but another possibility is the bearings. The alternator may just need a rebuild or replacement...

my .02

yah or pulley is loose, belt has oil on it, something isnt tightened down right, could be alot of things, alternator belt deflection is a common cause

I guess it could be a bunch of things, I just put my engine back together and the Alt. belt is super tight far as I know. Maybe just a bearing. Its ok because the sound of my intake is louder than the whistle most of the time. Just something to look for.
