d15b6 is the 63 hp, 90 lb ft crx hf engine...i have an 88 hf and swapped that old engine out for the d16a6 si motor

the d15b6 currently is in pieces in mygarage (just going to keep the block and rebuild this engine for the 14b turbo i bought)

yah i now have one sitting in my garage now too, but i have no use for it, i'll let it sit there since i have a spare engine stand with no engine on it, it burned alot of oil so i doubt the block is very good without being bored and rehoned so probably just crap, but netime i end up throwing something out i end up needing it later on, i have a b16 now but it needs a new tranny and this one doesnt bolt up correctly

the d15b6 block is fine and can be used with most other d series blocks...i'd most definitely swap out all the components such as rods/pistons...the crank will be fine and is a wise it idea to have it shot peened

when the turbo engine gets funds and gets built i'm getting a block girdle to help strengthen the block as all are open deck designs

short of a turbo or supercharger... i doubt it seriously, its prettymuch a lost cause, i would swap an SI 1.6 engine and SI tranny in there ASAP then you can actually have some fun, mini-me if you want, turbo/supercharger is more applicable, and integra computers help with the fuel and timing maping. other than that, maybie getting a new cam.. you can make it a mini-me by swapping a ( gsr?) head SOHC VTEC head onto the D15 block. then all you have to do is wire up the vtec somehow and your good to go, there pretty fast making about 120 or 130 horsepower depending on how its built and such.

why do you call the (gsr) a /sohc d16z6 vtec head on to a d15 block ?
cuz i always thot the (gsr) was a dohc vtec 170 hp twin cam that engin #was a b18c1 / pluss i have a crx with the sohc vtec /and let me tell you the wiering is no joke/the best swap for the mineme is the dohc zc head an intake and pg6 ecu / is a obdo / you dont have to wier up any thing

if you turbo it it makes 177 hp and then they break i did it and it was fun but it seemed like a well done d16a so i wouldnt do it again.

I'm sure that 177 isn't the only possible option, and tuning really is the key in having a reliable turbo setup.
