It Works!!
Wow! Yesterday I succesfully finished my rebuild of my 87 crx, cranked it over after installing new fuel injector seals, tweaked the distributer a little bit, and bang! It works! It sits and idles perfectly like the day it came out the factory (maybe not that perfectly but you get the point). Thought I'd share this with you guys cause me and my dad were totally unsure if the timing was set correct. You may remember this pic http://gnu.20m.com/timing.html . I couldn't get info on the timing anywhere so I just made an educated guess and wow i'm impressed.
This might not sound like much but its awsome for me cause its my first car engine rebuild and it worked with minimal problems (so far). I expect tonight if it stops raining to put my front wheels on and my front body parts and take it for a spin. Too bad though I don't think I'll be able to make it to the MD-DC car meet that really sucks cause I wanted to show off my lil beast. I really don't want to run it that far already because I just got it back together and well you know. Still got the cheap brand oil in there for a couple more days even though I cleaned EVERY part of the motor and polished what I could.
Ahh, ok, thought I'd share that with you all. I'll be putting more pictures on my website soon of the reassembled engine and whatnot. I also got a cd player and some good speakers while it was in the garage also so I can listen to tunes now!
YIPPEEEEE!
