fuel level gauge install?..help!

fuel level gauge install?..help!
i wanna get a fuel level gauge to put in my car for two reasons:
1. Mine is awful...moves in big incriments
2. I'm puttin in all types of new gauges...all autometer phantom white...doin a custom cluster and stuff...
where can i get a fuel level gauge for my car...all of the autometers say stuff like 20ohms at E, 45 ohms at F...what ohm rating do i need at E and F...or better yet, who has installed one?...write up please
