Default heatshield painting

hey everyone,

i pulled my A/C today since it didn't work and i didn't have the money to fix it or wanted to spend it elsewhere...anyways...i pulled off my exhaust heat shield thingy and i've seen em painted flat black before...i like the look for some reason and it gives me somethin to do pretty cheap...i know i need to use some high-temp flat black paint but what other things do i need to know...should i sand it down real good or what?...please post instructions if you've done this...help...thanks

Just leave it off, it looks better with exposed headers.

Get a new better header, get a Chikara, they are dirt cheap and good quality and do the job just fine.

Summitracing.com is where I got mine. It was $120, and like $7 for shipping. I am very pleased with it. The finish on it sucks but the welding and stuff is top notch. Get one and paint it with some high temp paint and you are good to go.

isnt that one for 120 just a stock replacement?it comes with the o2 sensor spot right? does it bolt up pretty well?...thanks

No its better than stock by far, I'd say it seems to do the job just as good as my DC Sports one did.

After painting the heat shield, did you apply high temp clearcloat?
