Default 1989 CRX Si

Hi everyone I am new to this forum . I have a chance to purchase a 1989 crx Si. It is black with 66,000 original miles. My question to every one is this, is this car worth $3,000? I am not to sure about the prices for crx in my area which is the northeast.

it all depends on the condition, (rust, wear & tear and its history: abused or babied) 66,000 miles is really low so I'd be immediately skeptical about odometer fraud unless you can vouch for the seller. run the vin through the police station (better than just carfax) to see if it was stolen or what other history this car is.

Definately run the VIN. If it's legit w/66K I'd offer 2500.

Thanks for your comments on the 89 CRX, this car was a trade at my buddies used car lot on a 96camry. The reason I asked about the price is because he gave the guy $3,000 for it in the deal. He gave me a call to see if I was interested, I will drive it this week to see what condition it is in. He told me it was in a good condition for an 89 and there was no aftermarket mods done to it. If I like it I will run the vin on carfax to be 100% sure it has only 66,000 miles.

so the dealer gave the guy 3,000 for trade in and they're gonna turn around and sell the car for 3,000

lucky you:thumbup: if the car was worth 3,000 for trade in, i'd be willing to bet that its clean inside-out. but still run the VIN thru a check
