Default might get 88/87 crx

theres an 88 or 87 crx for sale with 146k miles for 1100/bo. i think ive even seen it advertised for 900. It needs brakes, but thats ok. Only prob is it has manual steering and i hate that could i cheaply convert to power? I also want to do an engine swap. What fits easily into this bad boy?

In order to answer your questions it is critical for you to know the year of the crx, specifically becuase the 88's and 87's are very different.

I don't know about converting it to power, but I can tell you my 87 Si is fine without power, and I also like the fact that power is going to the road and my gas mileage, and not to help me turn the wheel which is very easy in such a light vehicle I think.

There are many many engine options available, but this is one thing that is dependent upon the actual year of the vehicle (and make?).

Give us some more details if you can so we can help you out, thanks.

have fun!

have you drove it? it doesnt need power steering really. it would prolly be easier to hit the dumbells once in a while to power your steering

but seriously, the car itself is less than 2000 lbs w/o driver/gas.

all the civic line up doesn't really need power steering. it's only necessary if you have wide rims, so you could turn easier because of all the friction between the tire and ground. i still recommend a 88 and up crx if you plan on having looks and getting better power. the 87 and down are only fast on take off about a good 3 feet lead until you get beaten if you put in a lot of work into it.

have you considered a zc? it would be a more direct swap. www.thezcresource.com is a good place to read up on zc swaps

and btw, is your rex a si, hf, dx?
