Alright, there's a guy here selling a 92 Jdm sir B16a head and shortblock for 900 bucks and a b18b top end with b18a1 bottom end for 650. Which route would you go?

 

i'd buy the b18a/b and go turbo. but thats just me. what kinda racing are you into?

 

id go b16 but thats just cuz i like that engine and like to stay n/a depends on what u want and how much power ur planning on making in the end

 

Well, I would say B16A because a 92 engine would be the 170hp SiR-II, but Hmotorsonline.com sells those as complete longblocks for $900. I would not buy a mismatched engine in any case, I would wait for either a complete B18A or complete B18B if I wanted one... but that's just me.
