Default looking into getting a CRX

just givin a heads up me and a few of my friends are lookin at some CRXs around here. we dont know too much about them but i know this place is usually a good resource. dont know really what the differences and body "styles" there are or what i should/shouldnt look for. im tryin not to spend more then $1000 for just a shell around here.

Look for an Si or an HF body.

Avoid all rust. Avoid automatics.

Milage is not significant if you are going to swap.

Have fun finding one in NoVA-DC-MD, cars are just plain more expensive around here.

took me forever to find my donor CRX and it cost me a pretty penny. but i HAD to get a 90-91 Si for the correct parts.. good luck man.. if i see anything i will PM you :thumbup:

the newest model the 2nd gen is from 88+, 1st gens more boxey looking car is -87, both are great platforms to start from hf is the lightest and has mpfi, dx is dpfi and not recommended if u plan on swapping in a engine, and si is dpfi a little heavier with some beefier parts. id suggest the same as KAI look for an si or hf model. good luck finding just the body its not easy cuz the crx is a much sought after cheap platform to start building from
