I RECENTLY SWAPPED INTAKES FROM ONE CIVIC SI TO ANOTHER THEY ARE BOTH 91 AND THE NEW ONE SEEMS TO IDOL AROUND 4200 AND I CANT SEEM TO GET IT DOWN DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE WE HAVE CHECKED FOR VAC LEAKS AND EVERYTHIGN SEEMS FINE WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE PLEASE HELP THANKS
With an I-D-L-E ( )that high, I can pretty much assure you that you have a massive vac leak somewhere. Did you take any lines or plugs off the intake manifold upstream of the throttle body?
man my old friends old hatch, he sold it to a friend, and he blew the motor up with a 50 shot, and it I-D-L-E-S about the same now also....but yea thats high as fawk
check ur idle screw on the intake manifold, check ur throttle cable and make sure it has the correct slack and is setup right, and check the lines going to ur intake manifold, make sure the butterfly valve on the intake manifold isnt stuck slightly open while ur at it, try those and see if it works if it doesnt we'll get into more details
