My sunroof cracked on my 90 honda civic si and i need to take cracked glass out. How do i do this????? I also wanted to know how i would put a new one in aswell.

 

you mean the pop-up roof? I didn't know the sun roof came in glass.

 

Hatchbacks came with glass. CRXs came with metal. If I am not mistaken you have to pull the whole assembly out to change out the glass, but doing that is pretty easy. If you take the headliner out, you will see all the bolts that hold it in. Unplug the motor, disconnect the drains (one at each corner), then pull all the bolts out. Have a friend with you, that assembly with the glass is HEAVY.

 

is it possible that a 89-91 prelude glass sunroof would fit my 90 honda civic hatch????

 

Hmm....never checked, but I highly doubt it. CRX and Civic sunroofs don't even interchange!
