Help!!! Car won't start????
My car quit running the other day. I was driving down the road
and it just quit. The only thing that I think it can be is that it jumped timing. The timing belt looks like new, and it is getting fire and fuel. Can anyone give me any suggestions?
It's a 1991 hatch, no mods.

if it jumped timing it could have bent some valves etc...that's not good...anyway...i don't think it could jump timing to that extreme unless the belt broke...sounds more electrical than mechanical...is there spark
btw..how do you know it jumped...is the cam gear and pulley that far off tdc when you try to straighten them up?

DX (dual point fuel injection, trottle body) or Si (multi point fuel injection, one injector per cylinder right where the intake manifold connects to cylinder head)?
In a previous thread, someone mentioned that in the DX if one of the injectors went bad, the car would stop running.

i used to have a dx type dpfi mobile and i was throwing a injector code but it still worked but was scared when it almost doesnt start, so you might want to check the ecu for a code, but other than that definitly thats something weird and prlly like the othe ppl said something electrical a little simple digonosis can really go a long way
