b16a1 (j1/s1 cable tranny) swaps into a crx generally can cost $3000 if done correctly...that includes parts, engine and labor

as for pa shops i'm not too familiar with them as i'm from northern va...but i am working with a shop in York, pa to build a turbo for my pr5 (engine is just too weak to even modify in n/a form)

There are 2 places near Pittsburgh that routinely do engine swpas that I know about. Speed of Sound (Wilkins Twp) and Honda Village (Greensburg) both have done quite a few. My understanding is that it costs about $1100 to change out an engine-this does not include parts.

Hope that helped you.

add about $2k on for the higher cost of the engine...it basically all depends on the engine deal you get and how aggressive of a swap you want (i.e. engine work, new clutch or flywheel, vafc and other bolt ons, etc.)
