tranny help!!!!

My gf has a 85 honda civic S1500 Hatchback. Her 5th gear is shot. Where can i get a new transmission for her car at a reasonable price??? Or should she rebuild it???

With a car of that age, you're stuck finding a junkyard one, or rebuilding...

On that car, fifth gear is replaceable without removing the transmission. There's a cover on the end of the tranny, fifth gear is inside. I even have a spare fifth gear set, if you can't find one.
