Default rear strut bar install ?s

my friend has a 89crx si. we just bought a obx brand of rear strut bar from ebay. however, when we tried to install it... it seems we might have to cut the plastic case. so i am asking for those of you that had installed the rear upper strut bars... on whether or not u had to cut to install. pics would be great too... thanks.

I had one on my hatch and i had to cut the plastic. I think most of them you have to cut the plastic.

I have a Neuspeed in the rear and it fit in fine without trimming any plastic.

yah i have one in my crx and i had to cut it down about 2 inches in order to get it all on there, pulled the rear walls out and put it on and put it back on as i was putting it together made it really simple, with mine i put the little covers back on once it was all back together even but did have to cut slightly
