Default another problem with damnit (my car's name)

Well, today my oil light started coming on. I checked and the oil was a bit low so I filled it up.

I thought it was good until it came on again later. I stopped driving for a while then went back to go somewhere. Everytime I shut off the car it would be good for a while then come back on.

Well, I was driving when I noticed the car was hesitating a bit and the revs were rather low. I immediately pulled into a street, but the car was dead before I got in. I tried to start it and it started up, but it was very rough so I shut it off.

I just got damnit fixed about 2 weeks ago. This car was supposed to last over 200,000 like most Hondas.

Well the question is: Is there any hope for this thing and did I blow a rod? What does it sound like when it goes?

is there any way that it got oil starved? I remember removing the alternator i dinged up the oil filter pretty well. There are no oil leaks that I could see.

well I got the car back. They said it turned over fine and no oil light even when I drove it home, but now damnit smokes. It's not black smoke it's a nice gray oil smoke. I plan to compression test it then have a leakdown test done.

Update: the oil light came on again so I took it back. They said it very well could be the valve clearances so now the car is at Clark's Honda Care.

valve clearances can make it look like it's burning oil, but if you're losing it, sounds like you have bad rings. time to rebuild or replace.

woah. You jumped into that a little to fast. Clark's Honda is still looking at it. I wouldn't jump in and just say it needs to be rebuilt when it's still being tested.

A rebuild would be about half of what the car is worth most likely. I also don't have time to do a rebuild.
