10W30 should do just fine. The brand and type can make a bit of a difference based on mileage. My dealer puts Honda/Pennzoil in every car and some of them have over 200k and still run like new. How hard you are on the engine is another factor.
If you are like me, you won't need anything other than 'dino' 10W30 for everyday.

StickyHydro,
As far as viscosity, I'd stick with something like 10w30 or 10w40. In my old Integra I ran 20w50 for a while when the valve seals were shot, but that was a last ditch effort to stop the oil consumption.
I'd say for most people, organic oil with changes about every 3-5k miles is good enough. My wife's daily driver Civic has PennZoil High Mileage formula in the sump. This is an organic oil with a good dose of molybdenum to quiet down the piston slap that this engine has at cold startups (heh, 1 degree again this morning). I'm currently changing her oil every 3k to try and clean things out a bit. My Civic and CRX currently have some old Mobil1 TriSynth that I'm trying to use up. Once that's done, I'll prolly switch to Schaeffers, once again, for the molybdenum content. They also make a good synthetic blend that goes for about $3 a quart and performs as well as their full synth. My Civic gets the oil changed twice a year or so since I only drive about 4k a year on that car, and I change the CRXs oil each spring...I put even less on that car.
Now, if you really want to go nuts with oil information, search the web for the "Bob is the oil guy" website. Lots of people post there who do oil analysis at regular intervals.

I use Castrol GTX 10W40 and it works out great for me. I have a Fram filter but I've heard MANY people say Mobil1 is the best one, or even Honda Oil Filters which will probably be the one I use next time.

FouthGenHatch,
Heh, if you buy the 15400-POH-305 filter, that's made by Fram in Canada. I guess the one made in the US actually uses metal end caps.

katejetta4,
Why are you still using MaxLife? They changed thier formula over the last year to drop the molybdenum which is the prime reason it was called a "Max life" formula". IMO, you're better off with PennZoil High Mileage formula, which still has some moly in it for about the same price.

Actually, Fram filters should be avoided if possible, they have cardboard filter elements. Here in San Diego, OEM Honda oil filters are actually cheaper than the better-grade Napa oil filters, so I use those. Nothin better for the car than what Honda makes for it.

As for oil, I run Catrol GTX 10W30. I change it every 2,500 miles, and I autocross the car regularly. Engine has 181,000 miles on it, and it still runs beautifully. Burns about a quarter quart of oil every 600 miles, which really isnt too bad given its age and how bad I beat on it.

fram filters
i use them cuz they have that nice scratchy end to remove easier later on cuz its a pain in the ass to try to remove later on, ive never had a problems with them on my car and i dont have oil burning problems but my engine is only about 10,000 miles old at least what ive used on it cuz it was swapped in was supposed to be less than 40k on it but who knows.
