Default CRX engine questions

ok.. as most of you know, my black Si is down from an accident. so im looking to rebuild her, and putting on some nice mugen stuff. well i found a site where they are selling a mugen valve cover. they say it will only fit on a B-series engine. now i know my stock Si has a D16 in it, but i was thinking that when this engine ever goes up, i want to go to a ZC, which is DOHC NO VTEC (correct??). would this valve cover bolt onto a ZC or does it have to be a B-16?? i thought the only difference between the ZC and the B-16 is VTEC, im not sure, hence my question. Now, if i can't bolt the valve cover on, could i bolt a B-16 head onto the ZC block?? and do the valve cover that way?? im sure this really sounds complicated, but i hope it makes enough sense to someone thanks guys

i doubt if it'll swap over as the zc dohc is mainly different from d series doch blocks/heads

just buy some 1500 degree brake temp paint and some clear coat and paint the top (looks nice) and only costs $10

No.
i thought the only difference between the ZC and the B-16 is VTEC
Nope. The (blacktop) ZC is (grossly oversimplified) a D16 block with a special DOHC head. The B16 is a basic B-series VTEC engine, which shares no parts with any D-series units. The ZC DOHC head is very similar to a B18A/B non-VTEC head, though size and specifics are different.
could i bolt a B-16 head onto the ZC block??
Nope.
i hope it makes enough sense to someone thanks guys
No problem:thumbup:

Where do you plan to get the $900-some for the Mugen cover though?

I would love to put a lot of legit mugen parts on my car. But there so limited and expensive.
