Default headers for 1st gen CRX dx

DC makes a header for the 84-87 CRX Si. will those fit the DX carbureted engine? The Si and DX have the same head right?

They will fit, but you need the Si oil pan. It's not the same head, but the exhaust ports are the same.

ok, nevermind, i'm pretty sure I want to get the header now. I just need to know if the headers will bolt right up to the stock exhaust system with out any cut/weld job. also i don't plan to run a catalytic converter.

thanks for any help.

I really don't know if it will bolt up to the stock exhaust or not. It might.

It does, and if you really need to get a cat, the stock Si one will work as well.

thanks guys, but i have another dilema. I looked under the hood again to see if I needed to do anything else. I noticed that connected to the cat is this silver pipe/egr looking thing that goes to another part off of some vacuum thingy connected to the carb. I hope that makes sense. I need to break out the helms for the correct terminology. If I really need that part then i'm stuck and not going to be able to get the header.

Yeah, that pipe is for the EGR, which means you'll need to make a blanking plate for where it connects to the intake manifold if you plan on getting a header.
