of a crx. first time doing this stuff (i usually do motor crap). anything special i need to know? drumsy was saying something about tar ... i can't remember

There is a tar for deadening/absorbing sound which you can chip out and save like 20lbs or something. But it's hard to get out. Supposedly using dry ice and a chisel works.

Yes it is a pain-just finished doing the complete interior gutting. The panels are cake as are the various bolted items. How true about getting the sound deadener out. I used a chisel edge Hyde brandputty knife and a hammer along with Goof Off and PPG AcryliClean.
Just chip out the worst of it and then use the solvents to help get the rest. WEAR RUBBER GLOVES!

It's much easyer to use a torch and a chisel.
