Sounds like you need a new TPS sensor.

Not sure if it just pops off or twists off.

When I was selling an Si Throttle body a few months back, everyone wanted it for the TPS.

Sorry can't help you out more.

Maybe an erratic idle and some loss of power?! Not positive though.....it would run like butt basically.

The tps CANNOT be purchased separatly(sp?) @ honda... I was told there isn't even a part # for it. They told me I had to buy a new throttlebody, I have dpfi & was told $700 . I ended up taking the one off my friends old motor. I have seen a site (can't remember) where they used a dremel to cut slots in the screws(they apear to be rivots) and removed the tps, then pulled one from a junkyard. I have been told to use carb cleaner on it (after removed) & that'll generally fix the issue. What do have to lose....Good luck

That would explain the crazy fluctuation of the engine and why it drives good sometimes and like ass at other times.
