i just sold my ek coupe. i am looking to buy a 88-91 crx is there any difference in the body from 88-91? i wanted a 92-95 hatch but there to much money and the b16 with hydro tranny and install is just too much. i found the jdm b16 cable for 1050$ on osaka.com. i was wondering i know i need mounts and everything but if a car is originally cable could you put hydro or vise versa? could i get a 92 hatch an put a 1st gen b16? please this info would help alot thanx peace

 

you can put a 1st gen b16 in a 92-95

for hydro/cable conversions, i believe you need to get a linkage kit

 

The 88-89's have a little different style of rims (si) then the 90-91's. Also, the 90-91's have places in the front bumper for foglights, the 88-89's don't.

 

90-91 different front ends-fenders,bumpercover, and corners /rear bumper kinda has a lip /different taillights / si's got rear disc.
89-91 have seat belts on the door, 88 seat belts were on the body

linkage kits arent alot right? but i dont see why it would see so hard i could just have it cable and not hydro. also if i swap the vtec motor into a non vtec car do i need additional wire harnesses than the one that comes with the jdm b16? thanx alot i really want a 92 more but ill take what i can get lol peace.
