Default help please, Ignitin switch issue?

I have a 90 civic si and everyhting was fine until this morning. I go out to start my car and while it was warming up it just died. restarted and dies, but the car stays running when I hold the key in the cranking position, release the key and it dies again. Then I noticed that when my key is in the run position(Key on engine off) nothing on the cluster illuminates(battery light,CEL,oil light, etc.),but I have power throughout the rest of the vehicle. I play with the key while in run position and cluster illuminates. I was thinking this could be a problem with ignition switch and/or lock cylinder. If someone has experienced this, please let me know. I don't think it's weather related.

Default The Winner is you!

I had this same issue in my HF a couple of years ago. It died on me while driving and I was able to get home by holding the key in the crank position.

The issue was remedied once I replaced my ignition switch. It got me wondering though, that electric motor adds quite a boost to my under powered HF motor (nice acceleration). It made me want to pursue a insight swap in my HF.
