Default looking at a new project...

this is what its gonna be

4th gen civic sedan
either a vtec head swap OR 5th gen EX motor, v-afc controlling the vtec
used greddy turbo kit

in about 6 months ill go to b16a1 and keep the turbo kit on it

how will this setup do? what should i look for? anything i should look at before i get started?

I say skip the initial swap and save the money. Then you'll have the b16 that much sooner.

a full b16a1 (non obd) would run $1600 for engine and mounts...add more for labor (depends on area)...depending on the car it gets transplanted in will also change cost...such as wiring conversion harness or front hubs to fit the larger front axles etc.

Only the STD Hatchback had the smaller knuckles so any Sedan you get should be fine. But anything other than the EX Sedan is going to be DPFI and will require wiring to make it MPFI, but that isn't a big deal for anyone who knows what they are doing.

crx hf also came with them too...i'm not too familiar with the sedans though

i won't be paying any labor so i'm not worried about that

the b16a1 comes with an ecu that will plug into the stock 4th gen harness? im sure that the regular wiring would be required, obviously...
