engine serial number resource?
Hi,
I'm looking at rebuilding a D16A6 engine. I have one in my car and I picked up a core in good condition for $100.
My question is:
Does anyone know where I can do some research on engine serial numbers?
1991 CRX Si w/California emissions: D16A6 4000065
the core: D16A6 4200544
I'm not sure if my car's engine is original to the car or where exactly the core came from (civic hatchback or CRX Si). Both should have been manufactured in late 1990 (according to their mold marks).
