Distributor just controls spark, not tied in with the fuel injectors.

I've heard like all D-series ones (ODB-0) were the same.

the plugs on the dx are different. The Hf and Si ones are the same. And I would not recommend trying to repin an Si one (I believe it has 2 more wires) to make it work. Stick with the Si. Hit me up if you need one. I think my buddy still has one from his MPFI swap.

no it won't work...only hf and si are interchangeable and only 88-89s are interchangeable amongst themselves and the 90-91s too...can't use a mpfi 88-89 dist on an mpfi 90-91 engine and vice versa
