Default beeping

some times when the passenger takes off their seat belt the beeping that tells u to put it on continues untill i turn off the car and turn it back on again any ideas on how i can keep it from doing it
also is there any way to just keep it from going on at any time like a fuse
and the warning that your lights are on when u open your door won't work

Did you ever figure out how to fix this? I'm having the same problem and would like to know how to fix it if you know please email me...unplugging the underseat connectors didn't fix mine or even stop it from working.

Same problem I'm now having...plugged or unplugged it still continues intermittently now. Oh well, no problem, ya know I love to turn off the ignition each time a friend gets in/out of the car its fun!

this must be a very common problem. I've been dealing with it for about a year. Seriously, if anyone knows how to fix this (correctly ), PLEASE post how you did it. My 90 civic does it at random for the most part, but then you'll have that week where it gets you every time. I'm not sure what's worse, the beeping or my girlfriend's bitching. I hate it when she takes off her seatbelt to get something from the back, and the beeping doesn't start for a second or so and you think you beat it. Then, all of a sudden, BEEEP, BEEEP, BEEEP!! And she HAS to say "God that's annoying, can't you do something about that!"

Ok well I have a 91 Hatch DX and here is how I fixed mine I UNPLUGGED all those BEEPING sounds cause I mean c'mon its common sense to put your seat belt on when you get in any vehicle....Just sounds silly to me to even have them and as far as the beeping sound for your lights I would not know cause I dont have one it was that way when I bought the car so who knows....there is a plug under one of seats like some of these people have explained and there is a plug where your rear view mirror is if it is like mine...GOOD LUCK!!!
