Default 86 hf suspension

i put 17" rims on my crx, and now im worried that i might break something. everything is so small and chinzy looking, and the hf has these tiny little solid discs up front that r not up to the task of slowing 17" wheels from anything near high performance driving. can i use some si or integra pieces to beef up the frontend a bit???? is there a low buck big braje upgrade??????whats the biggest tire that can fit on my car with 16" rims???????? the 17's are only temporary, and i will be getting 16's to replace them.
please let me know all u can. thanks.

First off.... even 16's are too big....

The suspension will cope with the big wheels, but as you discovered, the brakes and clutch are not...

With 16's, about the largest tire you could put on would be 185's or 195's in a low profile. Using say... 14's you could run 215 45's just as easy and they would be cheaper.

You can swap over teg brakes with little to no trouble, rear disks take a little bit more time.

Besides that... if you have the stock HF drivetrain in it, I imagine you aren't getting very good performance to start with....

i have finally made up my mind about this car. it runs great the way it is, but it is really slow. but i can deal with that, if it looks good.

can u give me more info about the brake swap? what would be involved and what parts would be needed from the teg?
