Default Dohc Zc

So I'm running an EW3 in an '86 CRX. I put a really lean mixture into the engine while testing the map sensor and caused some detonation. The piston rings are severely damaged and I'm considering an engine swap instead of replacing the rings. I have a couple of questions.

There's a DOHC ZC going on a nearby craigslist for $325, it includes the longblock, intake manifold and throttle body. The exhaust, fuel rail and ECU aren't included.

My questions:

1. Will the fuel rail and injectors from my EW3 work with this engine?

2. Will my exhaust manifold work with this engine?

3. What transmission could I use with this engine?

Thanks for reading this. Answers to any of the above questions are appreciated.

you can use the tranny you have in your car now. The exhaust manifold will also work. Im not sure about the injectors and fuel rail. Hope this helps a little.

Thanks a lot for the replies!

Still looking for an answer to 1 and I also had one more question:

4. The engine doesn't have a distributor. From what cars could I get the stock dizzy to fit the DOHC ZC?

whether the DOHC ZC will work or not depends on what year it is - is it a true JDM DOHC ZC or a USDM DOHC D16A1 from 86-89 Integra? - some people call the D16A1 a ZC, but it is not, just similar - the only D-series engines that will bolt into the 1st gen CRX are the 86-89 USDM D16A1 and the JDM "browntop" DOHC ZC from the 84-87 JDM CRX/Civic Si models - the 84-87 "browntop" ZC is basically the same engine as the D16A1, except the ZC has more hp due to different camshafts and compression ratio - the 88 and up JDM DOHC ZC engines have different mounts, use a different transmission and have electronic advance ignition - there are no 88 and up SOHC D-series engines that bolt right into your car - your transmission will not bolt to any D-series engine - your fuel rail and exhaust manifold will not work on anything but the EW engine - the JDM "browntop" ZC and the 86-87 Integra D16A1 will bolt in, but you need to use the 86-89 Integra transmission, intermediate axle shaft, axles, knuckles/hubs and shift linkage - these all bolt right in since the 86-89 Integra chassis is the same as the 1st gen CRX and 3d gen Civic - the 88-89 Integra D16A1 will also bolt in but you need to do additional wiring for the electronic ignition advance which also has an internal coil - the 86-87 D16A1 uses vacuum advance ignition and external coil like your EW3 - the wiring harness from your EW3 will work with no modifications on the 86-87 D16A1 - to use the 88 and up JDM DOHC ZC will require the fabrication of a new driver's side engine mount - you would still need the Integra transmission, etc. - the 88 and up ZC will not bolt directly to the Integra transmission but can be modified to work - you would also need to modify the starter mounting

It's stamped zc and it looks like a black top:

I guess this swap would require additional mounts, in addition to needing me to find an ecu, tranny and dizzy.

Thanks for the info!
