Default B16 start up

So I purchased a B16a1 that has been sitting for awhile, I dont know exactly how long but come monday I intend on throwing in a new starter and opening it up. Any percautionary steps I should take or even preignition additives I should get before I attempt to start it?

If it's been sitting for awhile i would pull the plugs and pour a little automatic transmission fliud into each cylinder enough to cover the whole piston then turn the motor by hand a couple of rotation's then crank with the plugs out to shoot out the fluid then reinstall the plugs and try to start it.
