Default CRX running 9's??

how much power would it take for a crx to run 9's? im just curious because i am a mustang lover(no flames please), and some kid im my class in school says hes going to embarrass me with his crx when i get a mustang, and that he wil be running 9's by the time i get my 5.0 to be fast. Its really bothersome, because i dont think he knows that 5.0 coupes run 14's stock, and his car is going to take much more money than mine to run the same timeslips.

yeah.... 9's are most easily achieved by a full tube-frame racecar, not some highschool kid's factory unibody... unless he has some seriously rich parents and is damn good with a wrench

no the kid is rich but doesnt even know the difference between disk and drum brakes, honestly he asked our teacher that today... "if my gocart has pads, are they disk or drum brakes?"

well, the rift between imports and domestics is pretty wide, and both sides tend to talk out of their asses all the time. It is incredibly difficult to get a CRX into the 9's, the guy probably just doesn't like mustangs (neither do I, but I get along with the drivers, and I like my RX-7's RWD )

well thats good for you, i dont mind hondas, but i make fun of people in school that have them because there are just too many f**kin civics for one high school. And for some reason they think if they put rims, a body kit, intake, and a muffler on them, they are somehow the fastest car in the school. People are just dumb... now i think its fine to own a honda, but dont take **** unless you can back it up. I see your RX7 is an 88, is it turbo?

That's right, the GXL is the premium non-turbo. If I can ever scrounge up the funds, however, I intend to do a jspec Series 4 TurboII swap, and eventually a full TurboII driveline swap (beefier transmission, driveshaft, and differential)... but that may take a while.

for a highschool kid to have a 9 second car of anykind is pretty impossible

i personally dont hate on any maker or model of car
if it can make my neck snap back agianst the headrest, ass pushed in the seat, and able to put weight on my chest then its good in my books
