Considering a B16 swap but missing parts...
Howdy all...
I have a opportunity to purchase a B16A and B18 YS1 trans for a cheap price form my 88 Civic. Most of all of the parts are there, but one part I know is missing is the mid/intermediate shaft from the trans. I think that this needs to be DA 91 to 93 that has a female shaft connector on one end. Is this correct/can anyone confirm?
Is this part hard to find or expensive ?
From what I understand these trans did not have LSD. Is it hard to install or find a LSD?

The intermediate shaft is extremely rare to find in a part store and extremely expensive if sucessful. Otherwise your best bet is finding a junk yard and searching old tegs if they let you snag the shaft without the engine usually they are concerned on selling it altogether.

I had to locate an intermediate shaft for my B16 swap, I found it in a junk yard somewhere... I think I paid 50-60 bucks for it.
^^I don't think they're rare at all... call your local junk yard.
As far as the LSD: if you can see through the hole it has an LSD, if you can not see through the hole its open... that, or vice versa.
