Is UTI really all its cracked up to be?

 

nahh this school is way overrated. i go to L.A trade tech and im learning the same shit that i would learn there. the only thing good a bout this school is that they have the latest equipment but thats only because all the money that you pay. and the other thing is that they specialise in some vehicles like bmw, ford, ect. but in the end is all the same. for the money they charge at UTI i can go to the school im going to and have enough to buy a bunch of tools and a car to work on and still have a bunch of money left.

I have a friend that went there and he graduated and it seems to me that he didnt learn anything better. he couldnt finish a simple b18 swap on someones civic. i guess it all depends on how good you are. I wouldnt waste my money on uti.

 

i had the same question and asked it on my other forum because i was trying to decide between wyotech and uti and everyone that has been to both say that uti is very well worth it the people that do no like it are the people that go there thinkin they know everything and obviously dont i am goin to the AZ campus in Aug 08

 

UTI is a joke. Im 32 & been in the biz for 10 or more years. I got all my training working in the field.If you know your shit ,skip the school & go straight to a dealership that will let you advance.The biggest joke among us is uti .

 

are you ASE certified and if you have been in the field for 10 years you would know that with schooling u will make an assload more

 

True but among all the trade schools UTI isnt all that expensive, it only cost 29,800 for all 18 months of trainning with unlimited renewal of any class for free after graduation. IDK it does sound to good to be true, and who the fuck wants to spent 18 months in the desert? Shit but im signed up DEC 08

 

Who said anything about the desert? Rancho Cucamunga baby! lol..I think UTI is a waste of money though
