Default civic, which one should i get?

Ok i have been looking at a lot of cars, hondas to be specific, and i like the look of the 88-91 civics Hatches. I do know that i want a 5 speed. and also good power(I want to upgrade it with parts, such as cams, header, intake manifold, etc.) Anyway the real question is what would be the best for me? what i mean is should i get an Si or what? What did they come with? is the motor upgradeable?

on the other hand i would like to put a different engine in the car if the present one doesnt suit me needs. What is the biggest motor that will fit in a civic like that? where do i get the parts? And roughly how much do they cost?

Also i kind of a have another problem, i am 6 foot 5, i way 290 pounds. this is why i wanted a hatch I would assume that i will have to take out the backseat and move the driver seat back. Will i run into any problems with that or do you think i just plan wont fit?

Sorry for it being so long but I like to ask alot of ??'s
thanks

To start with I wouldn't buy a 88-91 Civic unless it's a Si. Look for a 90-91. You see those more than 88-89 at least where I live. If you want to remove back seat you can if you choose. I think you should have no problems keeping the seat in.
There's alot of motor options to choose. Definately remove the sohc 108 hp motor. These some motors you can use. :ZC Dohc 130 hp, B18A 130 hp cable driven tranny, B16A Dohc Vtec 160, B18c1 US GSR 170/JDM B18C 180 hp, B18C5 US Integra Type R 195 hp/JDM Type R 210 hp, H22 190 or 200 hp Prelude. Keep in mind, you'll need motor mounts etc.
Here's some sites you can research on prices etc.
Good Luck JDMCARS.Com, PasswordJdm.Com, JDMShit.Com.
