88-91 CRX/Civic cars with A/C could have 2 different compressors - some came with a Matsushita compressor and some came with a Sanden compressor - the compressors have different brackets and different lines - you need a compressor and bracket that matches the rest of the A/C system

the different compressors weren't by model like 1.5 or 1.6 - some 1.5s had one compressor and some had the other - some 1.6s had one compressor and some had the other

so i go to autozone and pick up a new compressor. they ask what vehicle and what size motor all i have to do is to tell those guys i need the compatable parts for this compressor so the fittings go on correctly. i would suppose it would be easy enought to test the fittings before i leave
