Well 90 CRX-Si, Strange rattle
I have a weird rattle coming from the underside of the vehicle. I assume its from the exhaust tin. Has anyone had any similiar experiences so that I cna better track it down. I doublechecked everything I cna and it seems okay but I'm not positive.
Any ideas are appreciated
It only happens between 2 1/4k rpm and 2 3/4k rpm. With the clutch in or out it still happens. Very metalic rattle sound.

Strange'''
Seems like there was a stray nut from the engine swap that slipped into the shift linkage between the 2 bolts on the right side and the knuckle, the sounds gone for now but I won't kknow for sure until I drive it.

Yea sounds gone
Unfortunatly a week later the rust from the snow and deicer in colorado finally allowed the muffler to snap @ the resonater so I have no back pressure and the car sounds like crap. New part in 3 days (conects to catalytic then runs down to muffler ((resonator w pipe) but no rattle anymore except for the tin on the snapped pipe.

NO its also at idle. But not as large a range, I could hold about 2.5 and it would hold the rattle too.

New part
Well the generic exhaust pipe (pipe B, resonator w/pipe [the piece that connects the catalytic converter to the muffler itself] was only 106 dollars from autozone and took 2 days to arrive. The bolts were so rusted I ended up dropping the cat with the resonator pipe and sawing of thenuts to free the bolts that attach the cat. Took a few hours work to set it all back up but now it runs fine, rusted parts can be a pain, worked fine one day next i have a snapped pipe.

What it probably was, and this was my scenario, the internals on the resonator on the b-pipe had come apart and were rattling on the inside. It sounded like a soda tab rattling inside the can at higher RPM's. So I cut the resonator off and straight piped it. Problem solved.
