wasn't really sure where to post this but hopefully this is good enough.. i just got some new rims for my CRX and i am using my friends tuner lugs that he gave me... they are the ones with the half inch shank on the end... i am wonderin if my rims actually need the lugs with the shank or not because the lugs seem to stick out a lil but not an actual half inch.. just wondering if i should be using regular tuner lugs or these with the shank

 

What is a shank? You can use hwatever lug nuts you want as long as they seat right. most aftermarket rims use the same style. Just because it sticks out a little doesn't really mean anything, i think it's purely for looks.

 

the shank is just the extra half inch that is on the bottom of the nut that goes on first and some rims need that cuz the part is thicker where the holes are..
