Default Horrible Oil Leak Need Some Expertise

Hi I am new to the scene. I have a 96 Acura 2.5 TL and it is leaking oil. When I took it to the dealer, I was told I needed to replace my oil filter housing and that it would be 540 bucks. I saw the leaking from the side of the pan. I dont know what it is called but it is right behind the torque. Can someone please tell me if it is possible to fix this myself.

you are in the wrong forum, but, if it is actually the oil filter base that is leaking, you could fix it yourself - first you would need to determine if the base is cracked and leaking, if it is just the gasket between the base and the block that is leaking or if it just the oil filter itself not seated on the base - the oil filter base is part no. 15301-PV3-000 and has a gasket part no. 15205-PV1-003 - the base is held on by 3 bolts - parts would be between $50-$60 if you had to replace the base - check first to see if it is just the filter leaking
