Unless im seriously mistaken thats a 1989crx Si... My car looks IDENTICAL, then again mine is a 1990 CRX-SI made in nov 89.
Run your vin and double check it

No way thats an 88 it is 100% identical to mine and it was Nov. 89 Production Tagged as a 90. Same Center console and everything, body lines everything screams 90. Only thing is it doesn't have stock rims.

 

thanks for the welcome everyone. i checked the vin and it is an 88. as for my plans i am going to restore it piece by piece over the next year before i even think about engine stuff.

 

the 88-89 crx have different taillights, corner lights, seat design, gauge console, and i think the door panels from the 90-91 crx. its an 88

i think the bra is original on the 88-89 from the dealer, but thats a maybe.

 

The 88-89's also have a different front/rear bumpers than the 90-91's, as well as the 90-91 Si's came w/ rear disc brakes; 88-89 Si's came w/ drums.

 

The gauge bezel is a 88-89, so is the tail lights, and the front corner lamps so why do you still think its a 89??????? 90 is when everything changed.

 

AHHA didn't see the rear end had me confused, it looked right but wrong, you all right its an 88 my bad. sorry :P Also the rearend glass isn't see through (interior perspective) wasn't 88 the last year that was opaque?) Good luck with the panel rust that looks tricky and panels arn't cheap nowadays, I know lol got the same rear tire well rust spots.
