Default 90 Crx Si Hub/ wheel stud Question

How do I go about replaceing 2 broken studs on the front driver side hub? Can I pull the hub and pound them out/ in (4.00 each at Honda) or is that a major pain to do, if it is easier i'd prefer to replace the hub itself. I can't find anything in my Haynes nor my Honda service manual, only the rear hub has any info.

It is better to replace the hub, but it depends on what condition your hub is in. If it's got a big ding or dent in it, change it. If it looks relatively good, then you can leave it alone.
As far as the lug bolts go, I believe you can just hammer them out, but you risk damaging the hub, so be careful. It may be more advisable to have a shop press them out and press the new ones in.

Default Well...

I priced it out. The Studs themselves are 4 bucks each no problem there. I can't find the hub anywhere, only the rear assembly but I'm doing the front driver side. Honda wants 350 to do it which is outragous (or 250 for just the studs not the assembly) and I've been quoted 180 before by a shop but I'm looking to do it for like 50-100 max. Ne ideas? I've got to get this fixed and it looks more and more like i'm going to end up shelling out some dough.

two broken studs, huh....

PB Blast them, knock them out , and replace them with new ones.

if the damage was cause by an accident (ie. hit a curb) then pursue

replacing the hub, control arm, whatever.

Default Torque Damage

I went to rotate the tires and they were rusted tight ended up not knowing that until I saw the clean twist where the post broke off at the base of the tire rim (lowest tightenin point)

Drives fine but dangerous one more goes and thats the end of that side.
