10w30 was what was recommended before the invent of Honda MTF. Either one will work, but personally I would go with MTF.

Default Okay

what weight should I use? Just gear oil? I don't wanna screw up my tranny after doing this engine swap just cause I use the wrong fluid.

Swing by the Honda dealer and pick up some MTF. If you're concerned about the tranny, use the correct Honda fluid and you won't have any worries.

There is no 'weight' classification for it. The bottle says MTF. Go to the dealer and get some.
