Default brake question

ok so i changed my brakes and i put them on so i drive my car and when i stop it shaes like crazy and then so i decide to push it harder and like my car goes to the side when i push the brake harder what could it be it feels like if one tire is braking harder than the other how do i fix that and the shaking

The shaking is most likely out of parallel rotors, I assume you didn't replace them.

Use the emergency brake to isolate the problem. If the car shakes when only the E-brake is used, the problem is in the rear (for rear disc cars.) Otherwise, look at the front.

Could be that the pads have yet to bed with the warped rotors and it *may* improve over time. Of course, this does not negate the fact that you need new rotors.... and now another set of new pads to go with them

It also could be a binding caliper ..... make sure both (or all four) calipers slide freely. Check for rusty, binding and/or bent pins. Also check the dust seals to make sure they're intact.

I concur with the rotors... If you JUST changed the pads, run down to Autozone/Advance and buy a set of rotors quick... And you should be fine... My guess is its the fronts (Ive found it usually is)... But follow Kais advice to make sure its not the rears...

BTW, dont jerk up on the e brake, just ease up on it... That should go without saying, but u never know these days...
