Its reffered too as a 'mini me'... Its possible... And worth it... *IF* you do it right and know what your doing...

But make sure its a VTEC head first! (and not a VTEC-E head) Not all 94 Civics came with VTEC, only the Si's and EXs did... The VX came with VTEC-E which is an economy version, you dont want that...

vtec...beautiful thing, but it's a pain. You're gonna need an obd0 vtec ecu or find a d series ecu and buy a conversion harness...You're gonna have to swap the entire head, vtec solenoid, and distributor. You will have to get the wiring pinouts from the engine it came off of and your engine you're going to put it on (this is the hardest part but not too difficult.) Basically if the wire colors the on the wiring pinouts don't match then you will have to depin your distributor plug on your harness and take the plug for the distributor on the other car and basically swap them over wire for wire. (For example, your wire in pin 1 is orange and the one on the other car red, if there is no other orange wire just put the orange where the red was.) Then you will have to wire up 3 more wires (1 is going to be black (vtec ground) and of course it's a ground. One is blue and I beleive it's the oil pressure and the other green/white and it's your vtec power wire. But don't quote me on the wire colors cause i'm too lazy to walk downstairs to look at my car. And while your doing vtec wiring, your mine as well do a vtec controller to have some fun with later on.

Btw www.RYWIRE.com helped me out major on all my wiring for my swap and have conversion harnesses for a great price. (thanks peter and ryan)

Do yourself a favor and convert to OBD1... Dont try and mess with an OBD0 ECU... In theory it will throw a code on you because youll be missing sensors... Tho you can get it chipped... The price vs just buying a P28 and a Rywire harness is about the same anyways, and with the P28 your running it the way it was mean to run...

And definately DONT run it with an RPM activated switch as many tend to do! It will not adjust the fuel accordingly like a VTEC ECU would... This all goes back to my 'doing it right' comment...

Thats just my .02 cents anyways...

unless you use a Rpm switch with turboedit not saying anything just another way to go about it.

Yea, but think of the cost of getting an ECU chipped vs just buying a P28... Granted Turboedit and a chipped ECU would be nice too have if you plan too boost someday...
