I have been looking more into this swap I found a d16z6 pretty cheap I will probably end up getting that but what transmission should I look for it will go on a Crx DX. And the original engine was bought for 200 dollars and put in easy so I could get the car inspected and on the road which it is now. This other engine will sit in my garage till im finished tuning it then I will drop it in my car.

 

89-91 Si transmission

 

so the 89-91 Si Tranny will have the best gears for this engine? do you mean if the engine is Stock or even if I do some work like new cams, cam gears, pistons etc?
