theres an 88 crx being sold for 480 but i think i can haggle and get the price lower, which brings me to my question.

it has a bent front right axle and the clutch is shot.
so would it be worth it to buy it for $400?

and how would i go about fixing the axle on it?

 

It may or may not be worth it. It depends on the condition of the rest of the car. To fix a bent axle, simply replace it. A clutch and axle can be had for around 250 bucks, plus the labor for installation.

 

Is it an SI? Also look for that trademark CRX wheel well rust. If the body is sound, I'd buy it. Then again, I have a rusted out 88 SI in my driveway that I got for $800. But the interior is mint!
