need help with codes and more
i'm selling the crx and was giving a 88 civic with a 1.5 dual fi system.they put a cold air intake and header on it.now when you floor it it feel like its flooding and spits and back fires then if you let up alittle it clears up.I just changed the cap,rotor,plugs,wires,o2 sensor,made sure all hose are correct.it ran good the it warm up and started it again.I checked the codes and it give me a 16,17.the speedo gauge does not work. will this be why i'm getting the 17?are these car cable or eletric? can anyone help please i'm not used to honda's
16 is a fuel injector error code... Could definately cause the described problem... IMO Id just swap that DPFI crap out for a nice MPFI setup... If your looking for ANY kind of performance, thats the best first step... Youll notice more of a difference there than either the header or intake thats on there now could ever do... And yes, 17 is probably from the VSS which is probably just unplugged... They are cable driven assemblies and come loose a lot because of the clip that holds them on (its a pain to get back on just right and comes loose)...
