I used a 1/2" rachet, with a about a foot long long extension and deep 14mm (or 17mm forgot which it is) from the drivers side... You have to lower your arm down below the intake manifold (kinda like you would if u change your oil filter from the top)... Infact it might help to go ahead and take the oil filter off... But if u have it just right (far enough over but not too far), u can probably use a cheater bar (pipe) over the end of the ratchet... I cant remember if I needed to do that or not when I did mine...
