I know this may be considered prehistoric by most standards but I have an '81 Civic just sitting around broken. I want to keep it but want to pretty much replace everything internal since the CVCC 1.3 is on its last legs. Has anyone done an engine swap (preferably small and cheap, i.e. a smaller D or B series, or even something more fun) on any of these beasts?

 

Second gen Civics can take the ~1.8l CVCC Accord engine of the same era.

Forget about modern fuel injected engines.

 

What a pain in the ass.... Just sell it and get 88-91.
