Default coilovers

hi just installed coilover sleeves on my stock shocks, but the springs are loose when the car is lifted. (is that the way coilovers are ?)
other thing when i drive through cracks and small bumps on the road they ratle and make sound. i wonder what could be the problem.

2. is it possible to blow the stock shock if i lower the car more than 2" ?

1. The springs are shorter and thus need to be in compression-so YES they will not be tight like the stock ones.
2. Lowering the car will reduce the range of travel in the shock. Not only that but the springs in a coilover kit are usually much stronger (higher rate) than stock. Be careful lowering the car for daily driving as you will change the Camber settings and thus the handling along with how the shocks perform.

It takes some kind of mathematical equation to figure out how much camber will go(- or +) when lowered, so I wouldn't know how much - camber u will get with a 1.5 inch drop. However, most lowering springs drop a car around 1.5 inches without too much - camber.
Oh, and yes u could blow your stock struts with harsh coilovers, especially if you're gonna lower the car more than 2". You should buy an adjustable, or at least stiffer strut if you're gonna drop it that much. Even with a small drop, I would still buy stiffer struts with coilovers. A majority of them have high spring rates, making for a quickly blown strut.

i bought the kyb agx now.
they are ajustable, but i wont like it to blow them with coilovers. is that possible at all, or is the a way to adjust shocks to 1.5" drop?

It is very unlikely to blow the KYB's. They can handle higher spring rates and lower rideheights much better then the stock units.

You cannot adjust height by the shock. That is the whole point of adjustable coilovers.

do you know which level would be best for 450 front and 350 back, with the 1.5" drop ?

bound/rebound settings are mostly personal preference.

I lowered my CRX about 1.5" and it threw the camber out of spec about
-.4 to -.7 degrees. You'd have to check but I think OEM setting is +.6 to -1.0.
